Posted on the POG Forum Posted by Aaron Gillum on August 29, 1998 at 4:52:55: It has a REALLY short barrel. The barrel just barely clears the Rock regulator mounted below. I haven't seen any accuracy difference between my SB 'phoon and the standard barrel 'phoons. It might have made the difference that first game when I got bunkered but managed to spin the gun around and eliminate the opposing player as well. Personally, I feel I got him first, but that's another story. It is LOUD. Loud loud. Not aluminum barrel loud, or non-ported loud, this thing is *loud*. If I remeber correctly (and this was 5 years ago, Glenn may have a different opinion now) Glenn said that the only performance difference between the Snub barrels and the regular barrel would be that in cold weather the Snub may have a hard time getting velocity up, since you don't have as much time to push the ball down the barrel. I've played in cold Ohio winters where other guns were going down and my 'phoon was shooting snow out the barrel and the Rock was covered in ice, but it never went down, and the velocity never dropped to unplayable levels at any time when any other guns, except those on syphon tanks, were operating. They're different, and that's worth something. =) Aaron
