Home Stuff Cocker eFrames

This was posted at the Tinker's Guild Forum a while back and I found it very informative. This is niteHawk's take on some of the Cocker eFrames on the market.

Cocker eFrames
by niteHawk

Race/ANS (http://www.raceguns.dk/ or http://www.ansxtreme.com)

  • Angel switch for the trigger
  • Break Beam Eye
  • Rechargable Battery
  • Timing is changed via computer or Palm interface which allows you to see all timing options at once, and how they affect ROF with each other. Can turn eye on/off and change breech open time via keypad on Grip
  • Sear is dropped via a small horizontal solonoid hitting a roll cage - less battery power used
  • Accepts standard .45 style grips
  • Replaces front x-way switch with an electronic Solonoid

Eclipse/WorrBlade (http://www.planeteclipse.com or http://www.worr.com)

  • Magnetic trigger return and optical switch
  • Reflective Eye
  • Uses standard 9v batteries
  • Timing is changed via the LCD screen on the grip by cycling through all options one at a time.
  • Sear is dropped via a large solinoid placed veritcal in the grip. Uses more power genereally speaking
  • Gripframe is .45 style, but does not accept normal .45 grips, OEM grips only. It is physically larger than a .45 grip. The trigger is wider as well. Seems to fit large hands well.
  • Replaces front x-way switch with an electronic Solonoid

Centerflag (http://www.centerflagproducts.com)

  • Uses an Angel-like switch
  • No eye
  • Uses standard 9v batteries
  • Timing is a bit weird... IIRC your timing on the board isn't cahnged so much as the length of your timing rod to your x-way switch is. (I could be wrong on this, I haven't seen one in a while)
  • Uses 1 solonoid in the gripframe to drop the sear, and pull the timing rod to re-cock the gun at the same time (with a small delay). Since there is no electronic switch on the front, it uses less battery power.
  • Gripframe is a standard .45-style, with an LCD - grip options are to custom mod a .45 grip to fit or use the OEM grips.
  • Uses a normal cocker x-way to recock the gun.

PGI Firestorm (http://members.cox.net/pgipaintguns/page1.htm)

  • Mods your cocker into a open or closed bolt (depending on the kit) blow back.
  • No back blok movement, the bolt itself moves

PGI Osris (http://members.cox.net/pgipaintguns/page8.htm)

  • Sort of a Cocker with no sear or Hammer lug.
  • Uses Racegun frames to control the firing sequence
  • Not much known about it as I haven't gotten my hands on one yet

Sandridge/Triple A (It was http://www.tripleapaintball.com - but that seems to be a dead link now)

  • Angel switch for the trigger in an Angel frame
  • Single sided reflective eye
  • 9v battery
  • No timeing at all - you get it timed at the factory (although you can change the timing a little bit, it involves changing jumpers on the board and the sensors on the Ram)
  • Sear is dropped via a pneumatic ram in the gripframe directly acting on the sear. This means there is air lines from the front block to the grip frame.
  • Accepts Angel grips
  • Replaces front x-way switch wit*h an electronic Solonoid

I think that's all of them?
