PRO-COMPv.3
Installation instructions
CAUTION!
BEFORE YOU BEGIN DISCONNECT AIR SUPPLY!

1) Completely field strip your VM68 by removing your upper and lower bolts, main spring, rear plugs, valve assembly, trigger housing. (Do not disassemble trigger assembly.)

2) Wash your receiver and trigger assembly in hot soapy water, liquid dishwashing soap, and a bottle brush works good for this. Completely dry parts with compressed air. If a compressed air is unavailable you can use a hair dryer and paper towels.

3) Some early VM68's with chrome triggers have small valve and receiver exhaust ports, (holes that shoot the ball) that can cause low velocity and poor over all performance. Check to see if your gun has small ports by inserting the supplied 11/64" drill bit into the 12 o'clock (largest) hole in the valve. If it does fit, your valve is ok. Next check the receiver, to do this insert the 1/8 hex wrench in the set screw that is located on top of the receiver right behind the feed adaptor. If the 1/8" fits the set screw the receiver is ok and you can skip step 4, if its smaller you should do step 4. Note: If you like you can install the PRO-COMPv.3 kit and try your gun before you do step 4, if your velocity is ok than skip step 4, use the softer spring in your kit.

4) If you decide to go ahead with this step, start by removing the set screw on top of the receiver. Sometimes heat needs to be applied to hit, to soften the loctite and get it to loosen.

5) Next remove the valve housing O-ring's and reinstall it (without the cup seal and spring) into the receiver with the smallest valve hole in the 12 o'clock position.

6) Wrap a piece of tape 13/8 in. from the tip of the supplied 11/64 in. drill bit. Then drill down through the top of the receiver and into the valve to the depth of the tape.

7) Remove the valve housing. Important: You must deburr the holes you just drilled, wrap sand paper around a wood dowel sand the holes where the upper bolt slides, make sure there are no burrs in this area that might score the upper bolt. Do the same for the valve area in the receiver so the valve housing O-ring won't get cut. Wash receiver thoroughly!
